Sheep are curious animals. On that foggy day, as I watched them, they all approached, from the oldest to the youngest. The weather was dark but they didn't mind. Seeing the carrot on the ground, I imagined that another person had gone before me and thrown this carrot at them to attract them. Strangely enough, the sheep went around it, but none ate it. It wasn't until later that I learned that they couldn't eat whole carrots because the choking hazard was too great.
