In this image, the heart is no longer merely an organ or a metaphor: it becomes skin, space, drift. The solitary, veiled figure — crossed by a breath of red light — embodies the idea of the heart as a wanderer, an entity that, like Hermann Hesse’s nomadic characters, recognizes no stable boundaries. The heartbeat expands beyond the physical body, transforming into an emotional landscape: once freed from the confines of the ribcage, the heart becomes world and path, resonating within a field of liquid light. Much like Hesse’s inner journeys — where every outward movement mirrors a deep search for identity — the image portrays a heart that leaves itself to question space, to become something else, and ultimately to recognize itself through endless metamorphoses. "Wandering Heart" thus represents an identity in motion: fragile, vibrant, without a final homeland, always seeking its deepest truth
