Captured in April 2026, this photo series explores the contrast between the historic Windsor Castle and the everyday lives of the people there. While the castle is a strong symbol of history, these photos focus on the "human pulse"—the real, soft moments that bring ancient stone walls to life. The story begins along the perimeter, we see the simple, ordinary life of a family with a baby stroller while the man talks on his mobile phone. This highlights the scale of history compared to the fleeting nature of human life. At the gates, a castle staff member in a "CR" (Charles Rex) hat smiles warmly. Behind him, scaffolding shows the castle is still being renovated and preserved today. The story happens under a soft, cloudy English sky. The series features St. George’ s Chapel with bright spring flowers in the front, while a modern airplane flies across the sky above. This shows the mix of old tradition and the busy modern world. I also used a creative "frame-in- frame" technique, using the iron railings to frame the view of the Quadrangle, inviting the viewer to look closer at the castle' s heart and leading to the series' emotional center: a couple sharing a quiet kiss with Quadrangle behind them. Nearby, a lone King's Guard stands perfectly still at his post while tourists move past him as a blur. This highlights the contrast between unchanging tradition and the fast movement of time. Other moments show the playful side of the visit, like two young brothers eating ice cream inside the fortress. Together with images of the King John’s Tower and the formal Changing of the Guard, these photos show Windsor as a living landscape where ancient history and modern humanity meet every day.
