This was a personal shoot to illustrate the power, dedication and intensity it takes to be a professional fighter. I wanted dramatic shots to go with the action, so i lit it accordingly. Alex; who is featured here is a pro MMA fighter, but the striking element of the fighting is always the most eye capturing and offers the best poses and shapes that make a great image. it can also be a very lonely sport, as hours upon hours are spent in the gym practising techniqes, keeping fit and supple so you are ready for the fight. These are often the scenes that people don't see, they only see the glamourous side, the fight night and the rewards, not appreciating what has been sacrificed to get yourself to this level.
