The 'Sirens' series depicts an excerpt from Simon's journey in Morocco. These photographs were taken on a quiet, remote but majestic beach off the Atlantic Ocean. Inspired by the spectacular architecture of the natural wonder of Legzir and its massive rock arches formed by the ocean, he integrated the figure of Ana, his wife and muse, into the fairytale landscape, creating his own story of the Siren. These photographs were taken before one of Legzira's arches, due to natural erosion, collapsed and was irretrievably destroyed. This series confirms Simon's tendency to create frames from films that were never made.
