Peaceful Winter

This was early 2022 in a small rural village of my region during heavy snow (Saint-Léonard, Portneuf, Canada). The weather was mild, there was no wind, nobody around, no noise, nothing else besides this barn on the top of the hill. Everything was so quiet, so serene. I wanted to convey this feeling with a minimalist photograph where whiteness and snowflakes would create the ambiance and the barn become the main subject without distracting the viewer from the overall mood. I moved around to balance the barn with the group of brown grass, to make the fence look closer to the barn than to the viewer, and to keep more white than grey for a more positive mood. In other words, I framed the scene to convey my feelings of peacefulness.
