We called him Barney. A spirit (Kermode) bear, enjoys a meal of barnacles at low tide on Princess Royal Island, British Columbia, Canada. Curious and unbothered by our presence, he paused with a great pose to observe us as we captured this rare moment in nature. His majestic white coat contrasts with the blue textured rocky shoreline, a symbol of the beauty and wonder of the wilderness.
