The Kittiwake is ill-at-ease when humans approach with cameras. Maybe it's the first (and only time) this particular arctic seagull appears in a photo in its entire lifetime. Unaware of its beauty reflected in the crystal mirror, the kittiwake had no idea that humans from a totally different world saw it and had a revelation: life is fragile. And so are we.
