Barguzin valley is located in Russia in Republic of Buryatia. Barguzin River has a length of about 480 km and flows into Barguzin Bay of Lake Baikal. On the right, along the course of Barguzin river, Barguzin Ridge rises, and on the left - Ikat ridge, between which the Barguzin valley is located with fertile lands, remarkably suitable for animal husbandry and agriculture. Barguzin valley is called the land of "Bargujin Tokum" - the historical ancestral homeland of all Buryats. Today, Buryats, Evenks, and Russians live here, and they worship Buddhism, shamanism, and Christianity.
