The picture is the symbiosis of the past and the present, what was and what is, what will be. A little girl's dream of being a famous model one day, but giving up on being empty, empty of childhood experiences of play and joy. Childhood is broken, the little eyes are empty and sad, passed in the sands of time, asleep. The hummingbirds give her their life again. Beauty is fragile and ephemeral, mostly arising from a sad childhood. The blue crack with the tendril is supposed to represent the flow of life that connects both. Soft light illuminates the centre as a symbol of the soul that is being repaired.
