This photo shows a little girl admiring a traditional Krakow nativity scene. Every year in Krakow (Poland) a nativity scene makers competition takes place. Krakow Nativity Scenes - richly decorated, multi-tower scenes with architecture referring to Krakow's monuments, presenting the Christmas mystery. Krakow nativity scenes are on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. In the second half of the 19th century, architectural features emerged that clearly distinguished nativity scenes made in Krakow from others. This was influenced by the patterns of historic Krakow buildings: mainly churches. The stylish diversity of Krakow's monuments provided the creators with a rich source of inspiration. The nativity scene was created in the form of a slender building with dominant towers.
