Reflections of modern architecture on the surface of the water look like abstract paintings. But we can see much more in them. In the reflections of light in the waves, the ephemeral and the eternal meets each other. People perceive the shapes of architecture as fixed and permanent, while water is formless and changeable from their point of view. But if we will change the perspective and choose a longer time scale, things seems to be very different. Suddenly, the architecture is ephemeral as its reflections on the surface of water, while the water is eternal, essential substance of life. Neither man nor architecture would exist without water. Photographs were taken at Canary Wharf, London, 2023.
