The Palau de la Música Catalana is a concert hall in Barcelona, which was built between 1905 and 1908 in the Modernist style according to plans by the Catalan architect Llúis Domènech i Montaner. Originally the acoustics of the hall were designed exclusively for choral music. Since classical instrumental and even pop and rock concerts now also take place in Palau, the acoustics had to be refined without affecting the appearance... The Palau de la Música Catalana is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1997.
