This series is part of a larger project of limited edition fine art photographs taken during live flamenco performances in France and Spain, started in 2020 at the height of the pandemic and still ongoing. The aim is to represent the universal language of emotions through flamenco dance in a two-step between light and emotion. Dance is a powerful way of channeling and releasing emotions, capable of expressing them unfiltered and transmitting them even to those unfamiliar with dance. An artistic approach which, through dance and photography, aims to sensitize people to recognize their own emotions, to accept their vulnerability, to give it space and live it without barriers. Vulnerability as a strength rather than a weakness, an essential tool for staying connected to oneself and living a fulfilled life. Flamenco, a traditional dance inscribed on the World Heritage List, was born in the popular environment and expresses itself through improvisation, the spontaneous expression of emotions with intensity, authenticity and strength, without fear of showing its own vulnerability. On the contrary, it becomes the only means of expressing one's own feelings and emotions. In a world that encourages us to wear masks to be accepted, to filter our emotions and conform, the aim is to reconnect with ourselves, to look our emotions in the eye, to accept our vulnerability and make it our strength.
