To remind myself of being safe and loved, even in the darkest times. After losing my grandfather, I felt suspended somewhere in a dark and perplexing world. No questions nor answers were crossing my mind and I missed my noisy thoughts. It was my best friend, the model in the pictures, who gave me the strength to make this series while still feeling awry. That’s why there are elements of the photographs that feel like the parts of dreams that turn into a nightmare.
