During the past century, the "Night Procession of Gods of the Earth" in Shezidao is a vibrant celebration which has grown in depth and scope in the community. Along the celebration journey, young individuals don traditional attire as they carry sedan chairs adorned with icons of the four Earth Gods on a pilgrimage. The series of photos also demonstrate the splendour of firecrackers which the worshippers used to pray for fortunes for the year ahead. In recent times, this event has taken on added significance, serving as a testament to the local community's dedication to preserving their rich cultural heritage.
