Painted by nature

The series was taken during a project in Brazil from a small airplane, by drone and also from land. The dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses in Brazil are a poetic masterpiece of nature. Their breathtaking beauty extends across endless sandwaves that gently ripple like ocean waves. This boundless dune landscape, dotted with crystal-clear freshwater lagoons, creates a surreal paradise. The dunes glisten in the warm sunlight, creating a play of light and shadow that transforms the landscape into a true fairyland. However, behind this ethereal beauty lies the fragility of this ecosystem. The dunes are sensitive to changes, and their vulnerability becomes apparent during the dry season when the lagoons dry up. The dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses are a place where nature showcases its creativity in creating beauty while also displaying its fragility.
