This photo was taken in a quiet corner of a busy urban space. Two people stood on opposite sides of a pillar, each absorbed in their own world, without acknowledging the other’s presence. Although they were only a few steps apart, the physical and emotional distance between them felt significant, reflecting the isolation that can exist even in shared spaces. This scene reminded me of how easily people can become disconnected from each other in today’s fast-paced world, despite being surrounded by others. Through this image, I wanted to express the importance of pausing and becoming aware of the people around us, and of finding moments of connection in the midst of everyday life.
