This photo pictures Ioana, 101 years old. Her deep faith in God is clearly recognisable and overall present in the traditional Romanian family home, high up the hill in the Romanian countryside, where she lives alone after her husband passed away. Her relatives down in the valley undertook continuous efforts to relocate her closer to them, to make live easier on her. But Ioana refuses. "Here up the hill", she says, "I am closer to God."
