This image is the result of countless returns to the Dubai desert, often leaving empty-handed. I revisited the same location again and again, waiting for three elements to align: the fox’s natural path, a visible setting sun (rare in this region due to haze) and the precise moment when the animal would cross the light. Working at long focal length from a great distance, every step and every second mattered. This photograph is less about chance and more about persistence, observation, and respecting the rhythm of the desert until everything finally aligned.
