Endangered Beauty: The Ethiopian Wolf Endemic to the Ethiopian highlands, only ~500 of these striking wolves remain. Distinctive for their vibrant tawny red fur and white chest markings, they are currently facing a "perfect storm" of threats: habitat loss to agriculture, disease, and the regional instability caused by recent civil war and Covid. These images serve as a call to action to safeguard one of Africa’s most critically endangered species and the fragile mountain ecosystems they call home.
