This image comes from an ongoing project in which I try to turn my experience of walking and looking in the streets of London into a continuous gaze. I work with black-and-white 35mm film, photographing strangers whose faces carry a sense of emotional weight – often older, lonely or thoughtful figures I encounter while wandering without a fixed route.
