"The Living Marble" is a sophisticated formalist exploration that seeks to bridge the gap between classical Hellenistic sculpture and contemporary monochrome photography. Inspired by the permanent collections of Europe’s great museums, this series 're-carves' the human form through the lens, using directional chiaroscuro lighting to transform soft tissue into the visual equivalent of honed Carrara stone. The five-part sequence is a study in anatomical geometry—navigating the tension of the "Crouching Venus" before ascending into the statuesque verticality of the "Venus Pudica." By isolating the subject on a minimalist plinth and utilizing an elongated 2:1 panoramic format, the work creates a rhythmic, frieze-like narrative.
