Between Shadow and Light

In the quiet margins of water and stone, I encountered the same species at different moments of life. Some appeared cautious, worn by time — hiding within shadows, motionless, eyes half-closed as if the world had already taught them its dangers. Others emerged openly under the sun — alert, exposed, curious, unafraid to be seen. These images place youth and age side by side, not to measure strength, but to observe attitude. One survives through silence, the other through curiosity. One has learned to retreat, the other still dares to approach. Yet within both, the same presence remains — a quiet awareness, a living pulse beneath the skin. This series reflects a simple truth: time may leave marks on the body, but it cannot erase the innocence of curiosity.
