London, 2025 — Through My Lens Few buildings define London’s modern skyline like the Gherkin. From afar, it’s a landmark — a gleaming shard of geometry rising above the city, its curves unmistakable against the horizon. But step closer, and it transforms. No longer a distant icon, it becomes a mosaic of glass and light, reflecting the old streets that lead toward it. From this narrow passage, the building feels almost unreal — as if it were stitched into the scene rather than built into it. Victorian stone stands steady in the foreground, carrying its weight of centuries, while behind it the Gherkin glimmers with the language of the future. It’s in that tension — far yet close, historic yet modern — that London reveals itself. A city that doesn’t erase its past but reframes it, constantly, in glass and steel. .:Explore the World: England:. London, England May 2025
