1. Congratulations on winning in the London Photography Awards! Can you share a little about yourself, what inspired you to pursue photography, and how has your journey evolved since your first shot?

I first got into photography as a student when I started taking pictures of mountain landscapes. Since then, I've been capturing the moments that I find beautiful whenever they catch my eye.

2. Can you share the story or inspiration behind your award-winning piece? How does winning this award make you feel about your journey in photography?

Every photo in this award-winning series was inspired by the people around me. They've influenced me in so many ways, and I hope my photos can give something back and have a positive impact on them too.

3. How do you decide which photo to submit for a competition?

I choose the photos I submit based on how well they capture emotion. To me, a great photo is one that lets people imagine the story and emotions of the person in the frame.

4. What first made you pick up a camera?

It all started when I began taking photos for reports. The more I photographed, the more I wanted to make even documentary photos look beautiful, so I started putting more thought and creativity into the way I took my pictures.

5. What’s your favorite type of photography, and why do you love it?

My favourite kind of photography is cute photography. I love creating moments that make people smile and help them let their guard down, even if it's just for a second.

6. What’s your go-to camera setup, and why does it work best for your projects? What’s your favorite feature?

I'm not very particular about my gear. I just use whatever camera I have with me at the time, and sometimes I even borrow equipment from other people. For me, it's more about the moment than the gear.

7. If someone looked at your work, what’s the one thing you’d want them to feel?

I hope my photos can stir something in people's hearts, even if it's just a small emotion.

8. What was the most challenging part of capturing your winning shot?

The hardest part was observing my subject and discovering what made them beautiful.

9. Is there a specific place or subject that inspires you the most?

I'm most inspired by things that are natural and authentic. There's something really beautiful about people and moments just being themselves.

10. Who or what has been your biggest influence in photography?

I've been greatly influenced by Saul Leiter. His way of seeing the world and capturing quiet, beautiful moments has had a huge impact on my photography.

11. What message would you share to inspire photographers to participate in photography awards, and what advice would you give to help them excel in the competition?

I think photography awards are a great opportunity to see how other people respond to your work. They can give you a fresh perspective on your photography and help you grow as an artist.

12. What’s one piece of advice for someone just starting in photography?

I'd say it's better not to look at other people's photos too much, especially when you're just starting out. It's important to develop your own way of seeing the world instead of comparing yourself to others.

13. What role do editing and post-processing play in your creative workflow?

For me, editing is just a tool. I only make small adjustments to the light to enhance the sense of immersion, while keeping the photo as natural as possible.

14. How do you see technology, like AI, influencing the future of photography and your own approach?

I think it's a good thing. It gives photographers more ways to express their ideas and be creative.

15. If you could photograph anything or anyone in the world, what would it be?

I'd love to photograph the people I follow on Instagram. Their personalities inspire me, and it would be amazing to capture them through my own lens.
