I was born in Italy to a family of photographers, but even with such predominant influences, only in the last years I’ve only adopted photography as a visual art. I started my career as an illustrator using traditional painting methods. It was a time of hyperrealistic illustrations, which was the perfect way to learn and appreciate the intricate attention to detail that was prevalent in that form. Realistic decorations (tromp d’oeil) and paintings were the next, relatively easy step, to make my work bigger and bolder, before ultimately moving on to digital and exploring modern technology. I currently live in London, a city that has proved to be the canvas for my latest works.
