Hey there! I'm JT, the Norwegian-American photographer with a zest for life and a love for capturing its beauty. My photographic escapade kicked off in 1998, right in my makeshift darkroom-bathroom. That's where I first played with film development, a skill picked up in a local photography class. It wasn't just developing film; it was the start of my lifelong adventure in capturing stunning landscapes, vibrant cities, and the wild charm of wildlife globally. By my side on this wonderful journey is my wife, Ambreen, my joy and my rock. Together, we've trekked far and wide, capturing the essence of each destination we visit. Ambreen's presence not only enriches the experience but also brings a special touch to the magic unfolding through my lens. Her support has been instrumental in turning our adventures into a series of captivating stories that inspire others to explore and adventure. My photographic endeavors have earned me over 180 international awards, including multiple Silver, Gold, and Platinum honors, "Discovery of the Year" from reFocus, a Bronze from the Fine Art Photography Awards, Category Winner of the Year Award from London Photography Awards, double Category Winner of the Year from the Global Photography Awards, and the title of "Best Artist Fall 2022" by Photoserge Academy. My work has been exhibited in esteemed galleries such as Valid World Hall Gallery in Barcelona, Galerie Gora in Montreal, Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago, and Glasgow Gallery of Photography. It has also appeared in leading publications like Dodho, Digital Photographer Magazine, NOIR International Photo Magazine, UCP Magazine, and Digital Camera World, sharing our visual journeys with a global audience. One of the latest articles of me was published by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) in their December 2024 issue, with title Emarald Skies: Chasing the Aurora Borealis, highlighting its industry recognition. My artistic insights and journey were also spotlighted in an interview with OrlandoVoyager in November 2024, which celebrates the extraordinary stories of local artists and creatives.
