Soulla Petrou is an award-winning photographer based in London whose career spans over 30 years. She began her career by photographing some of the most ground breaking musicians and Dj's of the 90s and 00s. Her photographs have been published extensively in magazines and newspapers, she was a contributor to magazines such as The Face, Mixmag, DJ magazine, The Saturday Times and dance music label Defected. Soulla photographed Geri Halliwell 2 years prior to her Spice Girl fame, revealing early signs of an emerging ‘Ginger Spice’. Images of Blur were taken in Sweden for the launch cover of The Saturday Times new music supplement and and Frankie Knuckles ‘The Godfather of House’ in 2007 for the 20th Anniversary of music label Def Mix. Photographs of Underworld at London Zoo, Orbital, Supergrass, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Sophie Ellis- Bextor and many more. Soulla’s music portraits won her 3rd place at The International Photography Awards in 2008. She is also featured in "The World's Top Photographer's - Celebrity & Performance" book. In 2023 Soulla published her debut book " Rewind- Journey of a Music Photographer" Alongside her music portraiture Soulla has worked in the fashion and beauty industry in both editorial and advertising with brands such as Ted Baker, Monsoon, Puma, Ernest Jones, L’Oreal, Clinique, Max Factor and Olay. She continues to work nowadays as a photographer mostly in advertising
