Paweł Opaliński is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, earned his doctorate in fine arts from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at his alma mater, and his habilitation from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He lives and works in Kielce. Since 2018, he has been a research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Visual Arts of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, holding the position of professor. He frequently utilizes experimentation and special techniques in his work, seeking new forms of photographic expression. In December 2023, the curators of the ArtFacts Global Art Ranking classified his work, placing him among the 100 most important artists in the categories of "fine art photography," "documentary photography," and "abstraction-creation"—alongside artists whose works are now considered milestones in the world of photography and abstract painting. In January 2024, Paweł Opaliński was honored with the prestigious International Prize Botticelli - awarded for lifetime achievement to artists who have contributed to the development of contemporary art worldwide.
