My eyes are color weak. The visual field loss due to progressing glaucoma results from damage to the optic nerve, affecting color perception. Colors with minimal contrast are difficult to discern, sometimes even making TV captions hard to read. Text on color pages is almost illegible to me. Hence, the city often appears monochrome, especially in dim light. Additional light sources tint my vision—red, green, blue. Passing car lights, store windows, neon signs—constantly altering my view. The broken white balance impedes basic color recognition. My vision is blurry, like wearing a monocle. Constantly changing, this is my reality. I recreated the scenes of Ginza, where I work, using multiple exposures to depict my daily experience. I appreciate your support in this pursuit.
