One Step Ahead

For over 30 years, Xiamen's Yuandang Lake has adhered to the construction of sustainable ecological civilization, and has greatly improved the ecological environment of the Yuandang Lake area by continuously improving the hydrodynamic conditions of the bay, restoring marine ecology, and protecting marine ecology. By the lakeside, lush vegetation and greenery abound, and the lake surface is a vast expanse of blue with rippling waves. Amidst the shimmering lake light, egrets can be seen flying, fish leaping over the water, and citizens and tourists lingering on the trail around the lake... Nowadays, the beautiful scenery of Yuandang Lake is breathtaking. Whenever the tide rises, the gate of Xiamen West Sluice Gate opens to divert seawater into Yuandang Lake. It is common to see small fish rolling and jumping with the turbulent seawater, while clever egrets and big fish in the lake wait here, ready to feast. The big fish eats the small fish, and the white egret also eats the small fish. They dive from the air and engage in a "double-sided pincer attack", creating a thrilling and intense battle scene. On a summer morning, the sunshine falls on the surface of Yuandang Lake. On the colorful lake, the egret was one step ahead of the big fish and caught the little fish. The big fish rushed out of the water, opened its big mouth, silently protested, and a helpless expression appeared in its eyes. We have witnessed the cruelty of the law of the jungle under the laws of nature, as well as the vitality that biodiversity brings to the earth. We can provide good habitats for other animals such as egrets, big fish, and small fish by protecting the environment, allowing them to reproduce and thrive.
